“Omen” is a colossal musical work that spans several years of creation and development. In a somewhat typical presentation for Caulbearer, these songs are large sound structures that feature multi-layered passages of audio insanity. Cycling through many revolutions of change and alteration, these songs feature interconnected sections of drone, ambient, harsh noise, dub, etc., and are some of the most varied and experimental pieces the group has ever created.

From the ominous build-up and grinding assault of opener “Infection”, the alien-sounding and peaceful “Omen”, to the imaginative and idyllic “Fragile Emergence”, through to the album’s long, drawn-out goodnight finale of “Tranquility Paralysis”, Caulbearer’s ‘Omen’ album is a momentous musical statement for the group.
