    Snakes In The Belly Of A Corpse is Shrike Totem's (Cody Drasser) second album. Continuing the tradition of the debut album (Annihilation Anxiety, 2021) the project continues operating from a less refined and more raw, immediate space than Drasser's previous dark ambient solo albums. Snakes In The Belly Of A Corpse combines field recordings, samples and other sounds to create a stark, morbid and death-like environment that coils inside the listener.

    A brooding excursion into realms of sonic anxiety, the sounds found herein bring one to the more introspective side of power electronic soundscapes, while simultaneously edging into the more granular and textured side of dark ambient. The resultant mix is an in-between nowhere land of depression, sadness and rot. A void of hopelessness and eternal torment where the light at the end of the tunnel is merely another confounding and confusing mirage before the next all-consuming terror. Morbid, stark, cold, oppressive and unforgiving, Snakes In The Belly Of A Corpse seethes with a bubbling anger, oozes with necrotic fluids and suffocates with sonic claustrophobia.

    Limited edition, professionally duplicated Hi-Fi Ferro Normal Bias, black cassette with square windows. Each insert is hand numbered and features a unique, one-of-a-kind drawing by Cody on the inside (which was intentionally left blank for this very reason)
